30% of all the profits generated on this website goes to Ruta del Agua, a project raises funds for the Turkana tribe, in Northern Kenya.

Turkana has a population of 265,357 inhabitants. The Turkana population live in a situation of extreme poverty and with a extremely fragile economy. Periodic droughts followed by famines and death of the weakest sectors of the population: children and the elderly. The climate is dry and hot. It rains once a year and temperatures are between 24 and 38 degrees Celsius. This situation determines a life expectancy of less than 50 years, with an under 5 mortality rate of 220/1000. Hunger is the biggest problem affecting the Turkana, along with the isolation and the almost total absence of all kinds of infrastructure, from roads to drinking water, sanitary systems and means of transportation.
